PLEASE READ ALL CLASS PREP
INSTRUCTIONS
You will need to purchase the ByAnnie pattern, Jet Set II. We will be using both the Jet Set II pattern and my modified
pattern to construct the Round Rotating Mat Case.
The main parts of the case will be constructed from quilted fabric. When choosing fabric for your case take the
following into consideration.
·
You will need 3 quilted rectangles (Quilt Set A)
that will be cut into circles for the case front, case back & front outer
pocket. The front outer pocket will cover most of the case front.
·
Quilt the rectangles by layering main
fabric/Soft & Stable/lining fabric for the 3 pieces. Consider using a different fabric for the
outside front pocket to make the pocket stand out. (See my class sample) You
might want to fussy cut or do some special quilting to accent that front outer
pocket. Or use lining fabric for case front.
Just something to make your pocket special. ??
You will have 3 Quilt Sets A that measure 22”x24”. This size is easier to quilt on your domestic
sewing machine. The Quilted Sets can
also be quilted on a long arm. Just use
yardage instead of cutting the rectangles.
·
You will also need to quilt a rectangle for the
zipper strip and side strip.
·
Follow pattern instructions for General
Quilting. (2” or less crosshatch
quilting makes a nice bag.)
·
You must have your fabric quilted BEFORE class. There will not be time to quilt fabric in
class.
·
DO NOT CUT QUILTED BAG PIECES BEFORE CLASS. I have templates that will make the cutting
accurate.
·
Please cut all NON-quilted pieces before class.
·
Bring your round rotating mat with you to class
to see which size fits your mat (18” or 20”)
